Come On (Small Stone)
by Scott Hefflon

Funny that my “stoner rock” guys didn’t beat me to this one, seeing as they cover pretty much everything Small Stone does, cuz it’s all worth covering. Shame Club is a rock band, pure and simple. They like Thin Lizzy and pre-suck Aerosmith (an era bands like Hinder seem to’ve overlooked: Aerosmith rocked hard and dangerous for a LONG time, then started to write pussy ballads. You guys have to rock hard and strong for a decade or more before your sappy ballads are taken as part of the hard-livin’ continuum. Otherwise, they’re just bad glam ballads 20 years after Whitesnake’s “Here I Go Again,” and really, isn’t that embarrassing enough as it is?), and here’s a shot of Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey for that. Shame Club has soul, they have depth, and they have chops. What else is there?
