The Christian Death sidekick-cum-dark torch singer Gitane DeMone pops up again, with her bizarre ballad/is-it-Goth? schtick. It worked with Rozz Williams on Dream Home Heartache, and her attempt at jazz standards on Love and Dementia made it seem like she was going for a “new” look and act.

There’s more action on Am I Wrong?, electronic beats and guitars, but most prevalent are the piano and organ twiddlings. Unfortunately, as in almost all of her previous work, but most obvious in a minimal context, she proves she’s not the best singer in the world. She’s usually flat when it comes to her upper range. But still, she’s undeniably gorgeous, so what the hey?
