Amplified to Rock (Some)

Errortype: 11 is back, and they’re poppier than ever. Hard to believe that Artie Shepherd is the same person who yelled his way gloriously into hardcore stardom with Mind Over Matter. Amplified to Rock is unabashedly hook-laden, radio-friendly material that doesn’t forget its tough roots. Even during their lighter moments, Errortype: 11 still packs a punch with vocal punctuations or strained vocal harmonies. When at full force, there’s the wall-of-guitars that reminds listeners they can still be heavy. There is a definite possibility that this band could cross over to the mainstream and be on the same indie-but-famous level as Foo Fighters. It’d be nice to see another worthy band strike it big.
