Sirius – Spectral Transition – Dimension Sirius – Review

Sirius

Spectral Transition – Dimension Sirius (Candlelight)
by Scott Hefflon

Millennial black metal, littered with blastbeats, monster keys/symphonics, demon growls’n’snarling, and all the ripping guitar a metalhead could ask for. Portuguese, I believe, but with strong ties to Norway/Emperor/Zyklon/Akkerhaugen Lydstudio, Sirius pummels your skull with a barrage of beats and multiple layers of vocals, sounding at times like a gang of demons hounding/mocking you. And the undeniable death metal guitarwork remembers a time before all this melodic stuff ruled the roost, when shredding was shredding, the more squeaking and squawking the better, and if you wanted to groove, lay it thick, hard’n’heavy and get back to ripping, OK?
