How To Make Enemies… (Lookout!)

No more Screeching Weasel! They broke up (again)! They’ve gone so far as to close their post office box (very unP.C., even for a punk band). How To Make Enemies (Lookout!) is typical S.W. Ben sounds older, the band’s a little too tight, and the tempo’s slower. It’s this slowness that bugs me, actually. In fact, it wrecks the whole listening experience. As much as it sucks, S.W.’s edge is gone. All of us who waited in vain for the likes of Punkhouse to come again can just hang it up. Don’t buy this. Don’t listen to it. Overthrow anyone with the audacity to profane the punk tradition by playing it (unless it’s to make fun of it). That’s what the band’s doing…
