What next? The Interior Decorators? The Plumbers? A dumb name doesn’t necessarily belie a bad band, and The Dentists are a good example. Deep Six is a sharp, jagged pop album, laden with hooks and clever wordplay. They’ve been around for a decade, and display this experience and maturity well. If you think a post-punk Kinks sounds good, look no further. A killer album.
