Children of the Bong – Sirius Sounds – Review

Children of the Bong

Sirius Sounds (Planet Dog/Mammoth)
by Joshua Brown

Really good music to meditate or stretch your limbs to. Soldiers marching in the correct rhythm can bring a bridge crashing to the body of water below. Techno acid-dub like this with Eno-ish ding-dongs and synths ranting in the language of Bwah! can make for sonic wallpaper or a transformational experience, depending on whether or not they hit the right frequency. For me, Children of the Bong, who were discovered by Tony Banks, a.k.a. Banco de Gaia, are on a wavelength that transcends their own genre as well as traditionally sticky patterns of thinking. Could somebody give me directions to Planet Dog?
