O No No O Zone (Radical)
by Elissa Dennis
The singer has sort of a tamed Kat Bjelland screech tempered by an ironic delivery that strangely reminds me of Jim Carroll’s stuff. Her angry-but-aloof vocals complement the angry-but-accessible music. Out of all the stuff I’d never heard of, but nevertheless had to review, this is one of the few CDs I will actually listen to again. Probably in my car, driving too fast, cursing out the window at whomever is unlucky enough to be in front of me.
