Rock And Roll Babes from Outer Space – Review

Rock And Roll Babes From Outer Space

Written by Linda Jaivan (Broadway Books)

It’s nice to know, once you get past the wounded pride, that although we humans may measure way at the bottom of the scale in the universe’s brain chain compared to our alien brethren, there are some things (two things, actually) that those advanced beings skeeting between asteroids admire us for: Sex, and Rock ‘n’ Roll. (Hey, it could be worse.)

Baby Baby, Doll, and Lati are three alien girls from the planet Nufon who, with their orgasm-inducing pet oioi in tow, come to Earth to scam cool clothes, discover sensual pleasures, and indulge in the manic frenzy of rock ‘n’ roll. The three metal-skinned intergalactic nymphets scour the Australian prairies in their orange PVC miniskirts, abducting men, women, and animals (?!?) for joyrides and girly ha-ha’s aboard their alien ship. These punked-out Josie & the Pussycats are the creation of Linda Jaivan, following-up her 1997 novella-exotica Eat Me, (the one with the notorious cover photography of erotic fruit), with an equally giggly interstellar funhouse, that dips into pools of silliness and absurdity, and a decidedly bent Australian dialect.
