Four piece snarl/blaze classicist swagger rock. Real good singer, decent to damn fine tunes, and a clean, full recording. Yeah, this kinda thing has a 35 year old history, but like the Streetwalkin’ Cheetahs, it works off an archtype (just like rockabilly or power metal or straight-edge hardcore). It’s no rip-off. Funny, there was a band that I just heard after lookin’ for a couple decades named the Dogs that really started this “rock for punks” thing – well, much like the Dictators – in the pre-punk punk era. Sometimes this disc reminds me of one of my favorite end of the ’90s recs, Chrome Locust’s self-titled…
