Burn Bright, Burn Fast (TKO)
By Craig Regala

The boys are back in town. Electric Frankenstein is the ultimate cross-bred late-’70s/early-’80s band; part AC/DC, Motörhead, Dead Boys, along with scads of ass on fire “we’re rockin’ out now, ain’t we!” bands from Saxon to Girlschool to Kraut to Riot. That they’re closer to ye olde stripper rock defined by Mötley Crüe’s “Girls, Girls, Girls,” Ratt’s “Round ‘n’ Round” and Motörhead’s “Killed by Death” than “punk rock” is fine by me. Better fuckin’ tempoes than jerking off ones, eh? They throw in some covers: Cars’ “Candy-O,” Music Machine’s “Talk Talk” (halfway to the early ’80s Alice Cooper version), and a cool tune by Flo and Eddie called “Moving Targets” and just generally shout it, shout it, Shout It Out Loud!
