Symphony of Voices (Go-Kart)
by Scott Hefflon

Don’t know dick about the band, and Go-Kart couldn’t afford the 5¢ for a photocopy of the bio, huh? Pop punk, very mid-’90s, tuneful and the singer can hit the notes (which beats emo punk, which I enjoy doing daily), but it’s not sweet pop like Red Skare stuff, nor is it street punk like whoever’s still losing money on that genre. 12-13 years ago, this would’ve been accepted without pause, despite being pretty unexceptional. But now, really, there are long-term pop punk bands trying to put food on the table, and they still write great punk pop ditties, so why not buy them a meal instead?
