Deep Red Sabbaoth features Prong’s Tommy Victor on guitar and sounds very much like of mixture of sounds that we have heard from Danzig, only concocted in a new way. The well-crafted songs are, of course, about the occult and the supernatural. Beginning with the rockin’ “Hammer of the Gods” and ending with a new recording of “Left Hand’ (heard in a different form on Samhain’s Final Descent) which melds into “Rise Above” ( a song covered by Black Flag and The Misfits), Danzig fans will no doubt pick up this newest offering. Even if you’re new to Danzig’s music, this is a great place to start.
