The Agonist’s Alissa White-Gluz gives metal screaming tips

Already named Peta2’s “Sexiest Female Vegetarian” and one of Revolver Magazine’s “Hottest Chicks In Metal” in 2011, The Agonist’s Alissa White-Gluz can now add yet another title to her ever-growing list of achievements: MTV MADE coach! As one of the leading women in extreme metal, Alissa coached Julia, a straight-laced high school junior who’s been bullied since middle school, on how to be a hardcore metal screamer–and more importantly–how to gain the confidence she needs to stand up for herself. The full episode was aired on Monday, January 23rd at 7PM EST.

Now in its twelfth season, MTV’s two-time Emmy-award winning series, MADE, is all about making dreams come true. Currently finishing-up the vocal tracking for their new melodic death metal masterpiece, The Agonist recently released The Escape EP, which features two songs from this upcoming full-length release. Mixed by Tue Madsen (THE HAUNTED, DARK TRANQUILITY, SUICIDE SILENCE), The Escape is fans’ first taste of what’s to come from The Agonist in the new year.
