The Skull Announces U.S. Tour with Saint Vitus!
The Skull, featuring vocalist Eric Wagner and bassist Ron Holzner, formerly of metal legends Trouble, has announced a fall U.S. tour as direct support to Saint Vitus. The month-long jaunt will launch on September 27 in Austin, TX, running through October 23 in Tucson, AZ. Joining the revered bands on the tour will be Portland’s Witch Mountain, which features in its ranks, The Skull guitarist Rob Wrong. Dates below!
The Skull recently recorded two songs, released as a 7″ single on Tee Pee. “The Longing” is a bluesy doom metal traditional Skull song while B-side “The Skull” is an updated version of the classic song that originally appeared on Trouble’s 1985 record of the same name! We’re offering the 7″ on limited edition purple vinyl bundled with a patch for only $9.98 – get ’em while they last HERE.
“Having named the band The Skull after the classic horror movie of the same name it seemed fitting to do an updated version of a song I co-wrote called “The Skull” for its 30 year anniversary,” comments Wagner. “It’s the perfect B-side and lyrically resonates in the world we live in now….and it happens to be the name of our band, funny how that works out.”
The Skull continues to tour in support of its debut album, For Those Which Are Asleep, a record hailed as “a natural extension of the exemplary work they had been putting out during their 20-plus years with Trouble” by LA Weekly.
