Jesus Chrüsler Supercar blast off their first Death ‘n’ Roll single “Lucifer”
The infernal machine Jesus Chrüsler Supercar is once again back on the dusty asphalt of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Highway at full throttle. Led by their axe-swinging frontman, Robban Bergeskans, the Stockholm pack, consisting of drum machine Nicke Forsberg as well as former Refused guitarist Pär Jaktholm and new guitar player Tobbe Engdahl, fire today with the single “Lucifer,” their first salvo from their roaring exhausts. The title song of their new album shows exactly the Jesus Chrüsler Supercar signature sound between the ’90s’ dirty rough Rock ‘n’ Roll and the up to date Death ‘n’ Roll mace. In addition, Peter Hallgren from Sorcerer contributed some guitar parts. Together with the gritty B-Movie style video clip by director Pär Brannström, this single is the perfect prelude to their new masterpiece, Lücifer, which will be released on May 24th, 2019 through Dr. Music Records. This time, Nicke’s brother Fred Forsberg (Mass Worship, Anchor, Gust) and producer legend Tomas Skogsberg (Entombed, The Hellacopters, Amorphis) are jointly responsible for the mix of the new longplayer, Lücifer. The mastering has been done by Brad Boatright from Audiosiege (Converge, C.O.C., Black Tusk). The result is a malicious, fierce album that merges its various musical influences from dirty Heavy Rock, Doom, Stoner, and old school Death Metal into a unique diabolical brew. “In a world without Lemmy, Jesus Chrüsler Supercar are exactly what you need,” wrote the British webzine Ave Noctum.
