Goldfinger Recruits Avril Lavigne, Travis Barker, and more for Never Look Back Deluxe
Surprise! Ska punk-rock icons Goldfinger have released a deluxe version of their critically-acclaimed 2020 album, Never Look Back. The collection is out now via Big Noise and can be streamed here.
The previously unannounced drop includes four brand new original songs co-written with Travis Barker along with re-records (featuring Barker on drums) of the band’s three biggest catalog hits, “99 Red Balloons,” “Superman,” and “Here In Your Bedroom.” The band teamed up with John Feldmann’s frequent collaborator and friend, international superstar Avril Lavigne, on “Here In Your Bedroom” – giving fans the female’s perspective in the song for the first time ever; and “Superman” features Simon Neil of Scottish rock band Biffy Clyro.
About Goldfinger:
Formed in 1994, Goldfinger has been credited as a major contributor to the revitalization of ska music’s popularity in the mid-1990s before leading the charge in the 2000s pop-punk movement. Outside of their music, the band has always been active and outspoken about a variety of political and social issues, especially animal rights. Goldfinger is Charlie Paulson, John Feldmann, Mike Herrera, Philip Sneed, and Nick Gross.
