Toadies drop The Charmer and more 2026 US Tour Dates
Toadies announce more live dates starting in August and running through October of this year with some select festival stops including Louder Than Life, Aftershock, Hoochenanny Whiskey & Music and Festival, and Shadow Of The City at The Stone Pony.
The dates will support the band’s new studio album, released Friday May 1. It was recorded with Steve Albini at Electrical Audio in Chicago before his unfortunate passing. Albini’s technique of capturing bands raw and live was the perfect match the for band’s energy ,resulting in the classic Toadies sound, Vaden Lewis says: “No computers were used for tracking or mixing, just old school tape and razor blade.”
Bassist Doni Blair adds: “The band’s vibe in and out of the studio was the best it’s been, and we’ve carried that onto the stage.”
The first two singles from the album, “The Charmer” and “Damage,” are seeing a healthy amount o f spins at radio across the country and will be recording a session for KEXP while stopping in Seattle.
Drummer Mark Reznicek talks about the setlist for the tour: “We’ll be playing almost the entire Charmer album during the course of our set on this tour, but, of course, we won’t be neglecting all our old favorites, which will also be included. The idea is to play a long set, touching on pretty much every album in our catalog, but with a focus on our new stuff (and Rubberneck, of course).” He continues: “People already seem pretty enthusiastic about the new songs that we sprinkle throughout our set. Our younger fans, especially seem excited by the new stuff.”
He also says: “I hope people will walk away with a lot of merchandise! Haha, really, I hope they have an enjoyable evening out, because really the whole point of performing music is to bring people together. The audience is as much a part of the show as the band!”

The Charmer was released by the Austin-based label Spaceflight Records, a one-of-a-kind non-profit record label. Founded by long-time front of house engineer and producer Brett Orrison, documentary filmmaker Sam Douglas, and drummer/ founder of Interstellar Audio Machines, Eric Bice. The company is staffed with creatives, including Texas musician Bryan Richie of The Swordand, Rick Pierik of Nine Mile Records, and the advisory board consists of producers, musicians, and industry, including Paul Leary (Butthole Surfers), Dave Schools (Widespread Panic), Adrian Quesada (Black Pumas), and music industry veteran Matt Pinfield.
An album made on their own terms, fulfilling a long-held dream of recording with Albini and released through a label that puts artists first, The Charmer is the most defiantly “Toadies” Toadies album yet.
The Charmer explores themes of mental health and depression, a topic that frontman Vaden Lewis is speaking about for the first time. It is resonating with fans, with the band receiving many messages of thanks, support, and kinship. For Mental Health Awareness Month, the band is partnering with Daniel Johnston’s Hi, How Are You Project. HHAY is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to educating young people about the importance of mental health. Inspired by Daniel’s life and music, the organization works to encourage open, honest conversations around mental health. More info here.
Toadies are partnering with HHAY on a limited-edition shirt inspired by Daniel’s artwork, with proceeds benefiting the organization. Purchase link here.
Toadies will also hit the road this spring and summer with a rotating lineup of support from Local H, Vandoliers, and Sparta, also with a new record out soon. The Black Angels will appear on the Dallas date only. Fall dates include support from Local H, Olive Vox, and Emily Wolfe
Guitarist Clark Vogeler says: “We’re looking forward to having Emily Wolfe and her band on the shows. She’s such a great guitar player and I like their heavy, catchy tunes.”
He also comments on some of the venues they’ll be playing: “Personally, I’m looking forward to playing two venues I’ve only ever seen shows at: The Fillmore in SF which is such a beautiful room with a tremendously rich history; and Pappy & Harriets out near Joshua Tree – one of my favorite places on earth. The venue itself sits amongst a functioning 1800’s style Western town surrounded by desert. I’ll be marking this one off the bucket list.”

About the Toadies:
With more than 30 years behind them, Toadies have built one of alternative rock’s most enduring legacies, releasing seven studio albums and playing major festivals including Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits. Their hometown of Fort Worth has even declared an official “Toadies Day.”
Their platinum-selling 1994 debut, Rubberneck – spawning the iconic singles “Tyler” and “Possum Kingdom” – hit #1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart, and spent 49 weeks on the Billboard 200. After reuniting in 2006, the band’s fanbase has continued to grow year after year. Rubberneck remains a defining record of the era, earning recognition from NME, Ultimate Guitar, and Rolling Stone as one of the most influential grunge albums of the ’90s.
