Bad Man is raw like a wound scrubbed with steel wool, jagged like the neck snapped from a bottle of Thunderbird ESQ, and chock full of soul and attitude.
Explodes band-like, Michael Romeo measuring his attacks, Russell Allen the consummate vocalist. I’ve not heard better production/tones on a science rock album.
It ain’t about snappy tunes, the sound is a huge part, and producer Jack Endino is so locked onto what organic rock barf is, it sounds effortlessly upchucked.
