NOFXian drum thunder and neat production tricks don’t save predictable songwriting and the fact that the singer – husky voice or not – misses a lot of notes.

These guys began as a classic rock cover band called Satan’s Lawyer. That’s kinda funny. They thunder and spiral and cascade and zip and sizzle and all that.
One continuous hour-long song, yet is somehow an effortless listen, a plush escape combining Amorphis, Floyd, folk, and the most frigid of Scandinavian dooms.
Glasseater are one of those not-very-good punk bands that copped a different, not-very-imaginative style (in this case hardcore yelling) and still sucks.
I’ve never understood the fuss about these guys… They aren’t nearly as good as Pretty Boy Floyd were, and they’re not as good as the Backyard Babies are.
