If nothing else, ya gotta love Re-Constriction’s style. Though none of the bands here truly do justice to the songs they cover, it’s not for lack of effort.
Get a whole bunch of industrial bands to cover the entire Pulp Fiction soundtrack with the appropriate dialogue bits translated into computer speak. Cool.
Taking an early ’90s techno sound and wrapping it up in industrial, pop/Goth shouldn’t work – but Hexedrene have this damn good album to prove that it can.
Killing Floor is a full band who seem to fall into an area of borderline metal with some electronics. Geez, except for a few loops, it reminds me of grunge.
Growling like James Hetfield over Ministryish guitar heaviness is not the future, it’s the past. While outgrowing Goth is admirable, becoming powermetal isn’t.
