For All the Drugs in the World is an easy, enjoyable listen, but unfortunately, Sponge seems plagued by lyrical weakness and too weighed down by their failure to really commit to their own rock sound.
Jewel, All Too Much, Elastica, and Spacehog all pretty much fall short, although Graeme Revell’s “Bells, Books and Candles” has an incense-filled aura.
While most of the covers of Saturday morning television songs are fun to listen to, I prefer the originals. But the packaging is magnificent and informative.
