Yeah, it was a slow night, but luckily there was no wait at the bar. Local openers Evelyn Swoons acts on you like a force of nature. Like a continent shift, their affect is gradual but undeniable. (Maybe it was all that hard cider though, huh?) The quirky, half-naked singer with funky hair writhed and either sang weird, dissonant melodies or he missed a hella lotta notes. Everything else was solid, but failed to knock me over. A good groove with a smiling reception from the crowd.
