Playing melodic punk reminiscent of NOFX, only not as fast, they had their moments and, in time, their brand of punk madness will surely win the world over.
Another female-fueled outfit, Dirt Merchants, continued the loud theme at Pearl Street, adding some brooding vocals by singer/guitarist Maria Christopher.
While keeping some of their hair-rock material for the old fans to chew on, much of the material is heavier than people might accredit the Cherry Pie boyz.
It features Pearl Jam and Soundgarden and a bunch of other bands that today’s tattooed, pierced “youth culture” victims will lap up like good consumers.
There’s gold on this compilation, and it is hoped, by this reviewer, that at least a few of these bands (especially Incinerator) release full-length offerings.
