Thumper – No One Left The Disco Alive – Review

Thumper

No One Left The Disco Alive
by Lex Marburger

Thumper plays punk-ska in a Bosstones manner. That much said, on No One Left The Disco Alive, they play admirably, with a cleaner voice than the Bosstones. The crunch is heavy, the ska light, and the horn section cooks. Maybe I’m biased, being an Operation Ivy fan myself, but I’m not a big fan of switching from one style to another, without blending the two. I like what Thumper does, it’s interesting, but it’s been done already. No One Left The Disco Alive is very good, but to me, it’s not a keeper.
