It takes three older guys from the more demented side of blue-collar Joe territory to make music that feels like washing down Black Widows with a 12-pack of Shlitz. Trash-rock to the max, without the standard garagey production. Rather than giving you an unclear depiction of a garbage dump, crisp production allows you to smell every gallon of spoiled milk, see every piece of wilted lettuce and maggoty meat. The Cosmic Psychos are from Australia, and they’ve cornered the market on their own brand of trash-punk for a while now. If you’re looking for something fresh and new, look elsewhere. There’s nothing fresh here.
