D.O.A. – The Black Spot – Review

D.O.A.

The Black Spot (Essential Noise)
by Joshua Brown

Energetic, political, tongue-in-cheek hardcore punk that we’ve come to expect from D.O.A. They’ve been coasting since the mid-’80s and have yet to do anything new with their sound, which has gotten progressively staler the longer they’ve been around. If you want to get an idea as to what it was that made D.O.A. one of the most important bands in rock at the beginning of their career, look around for the Bloodiest But Unbowed compilation on CD Presents. Don’t waste your time on this one.
