Dahlia’s Dead – Review

Dahlia’s Dead

by J. Lianna Ness

With a name like Dahlia’s Dead, I suspected this local Massachusetts assemblage was a Goth band. After all, the cover of the tape (which earns high marks for production value) depicts a she-fiend rising from her grave. Now that I’ve heard the tape, my guess is that the undead siren was drawn out of her slumber by the dark, murky sounds of Dahlia’s Dead. They sound like Swank, only heavier and more baneful. This euphony left me restless; I’m eagerly awaiting what they have in store for the unsuspecting denizens of the mortal world next! A gallant first effort.
