Hailing from Arizona, these Christian lads put the positivity and fellowship back into hardcore. Their topics deal with pain, lies, sexism, and similar themes. Sure, they throw in the occasional Jesus line, but unless you’re reading the words, you won’t be bothered by it. Powerful, solid music with harsh, scathing vocals over it. If you think Earth Crisis is great, take a listen. Overcome bitch-slaps most of those Victory bands with their dark, intense sound and obvious song-writing skill. Big words? Well, Overcome is one of the better hardcore acts I’ve heard, and this release should get things rolling for them.
