Paper Kuts – #1 – Review

Paper Kuts

#1 Two 32¢ stamps (Danny, 5903 Leon St. Houston, TX 77009)
by J. Lianna Ness

Not a big debut, actually, this is a half-size cut and paste ‘zine. It has a little bit of everything, including CD reviews (Mary Lou Lord, Sebadoh, 30 Footfall, Cub, Red Aunts, etc. [all positive, by the way, because he bought them with his own money – maybe some indie labels will be generous enough to start sending him stuff, hint hint]), ‘zine reviews (Foxxxy, My Wallpaper Could Kick Your Ass [great title!]), live reviews (Mary Lou Lord [again – editor/publisher Danny seems to have a thing for her], 7 Year Bitch, The Queers, etc.), poetry and rants (I liked the one he wrote, just to take up space, about why he doesn’t like ska and why boxer-briefs rule). A pretty good read. Hey, what do you want for 64 cents? Just go ahead and get it, ya fuckin’ Ebeneezers!
