Snarkism is a slang term for “a rude or sarcastic tone” and Tribe 8‘s latest offering is loaded with it. In “Republican Lullaby” they shriek “Eat shit! Ten billion flies can’t be wrong!” “Tranny Chaser” is a whimsical song about a lesbian who loves transvestites even though they treat her like “a dirty old man… (silly faggots, dicks are for dykes!)” They launch into a cover of Devo’s “Girl You Want” right in the middle of “Oversize Ego.” Heterosexual men, take note. The next time you’re out with your girlfriend and notice vocalist Lynn Breedlove glancing over in your direction, she’s not looking at you, she’s “Checking Out Your Babe.” Tribe 8 dish out a fun brand of raucous and rowdy punk, perfect for Saturday night bar room brawls at the Lesbo-Au-Go-Go.
