Cocteau Twins
Milk and Kisses (Capitol)
by Nik Rainey
Another drift through the pastel haze with the Cocteau Twins, with Robin Guthrie’s translucent guitar sheets waving languidly in the air and Simon Raymonde’s bass subtly grounding the pink opacities of Elizabeth Fraser’s evocative vocals and seemingly nonsensical lyrics. This carries you to a place where all is serene and mysteriously beautiful. Lovely.
