Glistens with the authenticity of completion. America’s Harold Budd is best known for his work with Brian Eno and XTC’s Andy Partridge. France’s Hector Zazou has collaborated with Dead Can Dance’s Brendan Perry, Björk, and Bel Canto. The ambient arrangements the composers co-create are contemplative enough to make Vangelis sound like a dance act, and precise enough to be deliberately coherent under a microscope.
