Cult TV Episode Guide – Review

Cult TV Episode Guide

by Rebekah Sue Harris

Generation X, The Instant Coffee Generation… More accurately: We’re the Television Generation, the Couch Potato Generation, if you will. How many of us have made plans around what’s going to be on TV? Or told phone callers (and keep in mind that the telephone is that rude instrument whose ringing, though annoying, is the socially acceptable interruption for everything but the boob tube) that we’ll call back during a commercial? How many of us have seen the last episode of M*A*S*H?

Think I’m exaggerating? I don’t; this site had well over 25,000 visitors before I got to it. The Top 20 rates The A Team up there with The X-Files, and lists Charlie’s Angels at the bottom of the Top 20. Clicking on Seinfeld, at #10, brings one to three sites that discuss episodes of the “show about nothing.” Under the alphabetical list, fans of Eerie, Indiana can read about their favorite episodes, as can ALF fans; devotees of Adam-12 and Square Pegs are, unfortunately, bummin’. This site is nicely done, especially the alphabetical list (which reminds us of shows we’d forgotten we’d liked, such as S.W.A.T.). The material will appeal to a select crowd, but that group will probably appreciate every aspect of the site.
