Project Pitchfork – Alpha Omega – Review

Alpha Omega (Metropolis)
by Chris Best

I can review this band two ways. I can either judge it on its own merits, or on the standards the band has set for itself. To be fair, I’ll judge Alpha Omega on its own. This album lacks very little. The music is surprisingly distinctive and the singer doesn’t feel any urge to hide his vocal prowess, which adds a layer of melody that is usually lacking in most industrial bands. Their own bio says they were combining a lot of classical influences, none of which are obvious upon numerous listens. They don’t, in any way, live up to their description, but they far exceeded my expectations.
