It’s Brit-Beat from Japan and I dunno if that sounds weird to you. It’s actually not really that odd. The Neatbeats (Japan’s number one Brit Beat Band! I dunno who’s number two…) are fans of the early Beatles, the Yardbirds, the Searchers, etc. They show their appreciation in the most sincere Nipponese manner: by replicating the Brit invasion sound (first wave) note for note. They do pretty well, all the way down to the jangly guitar and the Ringo fills. Not very original, to be sure, but I don’t think that’s the point.
