The Jackie Papers – I’m in Love – Review

The Jackie Papers

I’m in Love (Panic Button)
by Scott Hefflon

Ex-Pink Lincoln Chris Barrows returns with his three rock-hard beauties to release a 12-minute, six-song EP mixed by Bill Stevenson (ALL/Descendents) at The Blasting Room and released on Ben Weasel’s Panic Button label. A few snarling punk anthems Screeching Weasel woulda written in the old days (or JCCC might write now), and a few of those disjointed early-’80s punkers like, um, Black Flag and the not-so-sweet Descendents useta write. The Jackie Papers: consistent, not groundbreaking but always worth a listen.
