Homemade – What Were We Getting Into, Before We Got Into This? – Review

Homemade

What Were We Getting Into, Before We Got Into This? (Theologian)

While I commend Homemade‘s attempt at playing “emotional” punk rock (not that punk rock needs any more emotions than it already has), I have to say they need to try harder. Maybe keep the rawness and sincerity of the delivery, but work on the melodies. Singing one note repeatedly while the guitars play the same progression every song is just not “emotional.” It’s the downfall of many crappy emo bands, which is why Homemade should try and distance themselves from that. I foresee potential and I hope they can get it next time.
