Spreading the Message (Lost Disciple)

Emerging from the Czech Republic, Pandemia unleash their smart brand of technical death metal with their US debut, Spreading The Message. Similar to death metal monarchs Angel Corpse, Krisiun, and Vader, Pandemia roar with such talent and fury that in spite of their obvious influences, I was forced to take notice. For a debut, this is an impressive 30-minute disc full of sharp little death metal ditties. Pandemia have titles and lyrics like “The Tones are Weaker” and “Leaves in the Storm” that are intelligent and not cliché. Add to this some quick instrumental “breathers” in between the battering and you have a death metal CD any mother would be proud of.
