The Lowdown – Revolver II – Review

The Lowdown

Revolver II (Strange Attractors)
by Lex Marburger

Noisy. (Quite.) Sloppy. (Quite.) Fun. (If yer into that kinda stuff.) Basically, a buncha left-coast rock freaks and some broken instruments, and an engineer who likes when people overload mic lines. At first, I was thinkin’ “Whell, what have we here? No talent, much musicality. This’ll get tiring fast.” After a few songs tho’, I started gettin into it. Was it that I was forgetting about musicality? Was I forgetting about musical structure and wallowing in talent of-the-moment? Who the fuck cares? It was cool. You just have to forget that things like talent and high-quality music production exist, or you have to move beyond them. Yeah, just move beyond them…
