With a title like Is Your Radio Active?, it’s no surprise that “Rock ‘N’ Roll Scene” opens with a “Do You Remember Rock ‘N’ Roll radio” rip. Nice touch, and probably the most original part of the record. Be a geek and yell out the snippets as the radio dial lands briefly on them. Really, it’s good for you! Other than that, it’s pretty straight-forward angular/chicken-strut punk with lots of high-end and Brit-sounding pronunciation (which, the bio makes sure to state, is authentic cuz the singer’s originally from England. He moved to Vancouver, British Columbia – which is in Canada, kids. That’s the big mostly-empty mass of land “up” from us on the map). So it’s come to this…
