Strife – Angermeans – Review

Strife

Angermeans (Victory)
by Adrian Bromley

I was excited when I found out veteran act Strife were getting back together to record a new album after disbanding in 1998, following the release of their well-received sophomore disc, In This Defiance. At that time, Strife was an intense, groundbreaking, lethal hardcore act. While the new album is full of strong moments (check out “From These Graves” and “Spill No Blood”), the new disc is a bit of a letdown. Far from explosive and groundbreaking like their earlier releases, Angermeans is good Strife, not great Strife.
