Electric Frankenstein singer/guitarist Steve Miller leads this unit. Same general territory, but closer to ’70s arena rock (first Montrose rec and April Wine).
Beth’s flute-like midrange leads the lilting acoustic guitar tunes, the songs as flowery and carefree-sounding as a stroll through a European daydream.
Quiet parts, little bits of melody, and lots of groove-oriented breakdowns. It’s indistinguishable, but vocalist John Liiva (ex-Arch Enemy) makes it enjoyable.
Co-founder of Boston’s Cliffs of Dooneen, Flynn, is back and, unfortunately, his personal story is far more engaging than anything on his CD, On Your Way.
