Powered by the drive to push the boundaries of hardcore/noisecore, as well as the message from the “Big Guy” above (read: God) New Hampshire’s Mercury Switch muscle up a substantial amount of creative ideas that’ll keep you coming back for more. The diverse vocal patterns are a nice touch, as are the frequent changes in hardcore pacing. Not all of the ideas here unfold into something worth chiming about, but for the most part, Mercury Switch offers up quality music with a strong message and it’s up to you to interpret what they’re pushing – musically and lyrically.
