Daughters
Canada Songs (Robotic Empire)
By Adrian Bromley
It would take me almost half of this column to explain to you just how good Rhode Island act Daughters are. It would take the other half to explain to you their live show and why this album needs to get picked up, but in order to give space and make room for other reviews, I’ll keep it straight and simple. Under a whitewash of a noise, grind, and indie rock-based hardcore – a band no doubt possessed by the likes of Fugazi and Unsane – comes an unrelenting and out-of-control outfit that dish it out fast and furious. 10 songs in 11 minutes, that’s it. Now, go get it.
