Scoville Unit – Everybody Knows – Review

Scoville Unit

Everybody Knows (Ernest Jenning)
by Lauren Bussard

Without any hesitation or awkward fumblings, Scoville Unit uses Everybody Knows, their debut album, to pay homage to the effortless pop of Buddy Holly, the innocence of Simon and Garfunkel, the melancholic rock of REM’s older records, and the beautiful fluidity of Belle & Sebastian. All in all, Scoville Unit’s sweet, blissful songs and simple but perfect bouncy melodies are the perfect complement to a sunny, sparkling day. Oh, and their cover of Moody Blues’ “Your Wildest Dreams” is awesome.
