Re: Vision (Metropolis)

You’ve had a bad day? Fought congested traffic all day? Bombarded by more news of the Iraq War you couldn’t care less about? It’s time to spin Informatik‘s new album and bathe in the future pop rage of “House of Cards,” just one of four new tracks on Re:Vision, another dark EBM/future pop album that dots the landscape of Metropolis Records. It includes three “re:visions” of classic Informatik tracks from their previous three albums, some tasty remixes by Assemblage 23, Funker Vogt, and Iris are also served, as well as a video performance of “Watching You, Watching Me” filmed at The Palace, in Hollywood, CA. Easily the strongest Informatik album to date, Da5id Din’s blunt and pointed lyrics are carried by his baritone that both soothes sores and rattles molars; paired with some lush and plucky programming that peaks the pulse. In addition to “House of Cards,” set your ears aflame with “Saints and Sinners,” “The World Belongs to Us,” and “Revolutions.”
