Boston unsigned band/singer/hottie/whatever. I usually don’t even bother with local bands that’ll never make it outta 617, but I wanna simply remark this: Great vocals, terrible lyrics (10 of the first 15 lines are cliches that cause me to shiver), and the merest of hints of style, which is why I bother to write this. Even though mainstream pop requires no talent whatsoever, Emily could really do well if she sung someone else’s lyrics and someone else’s melodies. She’s got a voice you bond with, but I’ve passed better-written love notes in study hall.
