Noised (Van Richter)

In 1989, Claus Kruse and SM Kalwa created Plastic Noise Experience, a powerhouse making minimal EBM-laced dance music. For over 15 years, they’ve been on a multitude of record labels like Kk Records, Ausfahart, Van Richter, and now currently Alfa-Matrix in Europe and Metropolis Records in North America. Their previous album, Maschinenmusik, catapulted them back into the spotlight in 2004. Now, in 2005, a “new” PNE release sees the light of day, but it doesn’t appear to be new material, instead it’s a collection of rarities and covers. Any fan of classic EBM or PNE should defiantly own this 18 track release. On the “Moving Hands” cover, originally composed by The Klinik, Claus takes on the role of EBM legend Dirk Ivens and nails the song with the accuracy of a nail gun. The instrumentals show a side of PNE rarely seen, taking a break from the dance floor beats for a more ambient approach to the songwriting. This compilation has all the flavors of PNE packed tightly into one valuable release.
