When was the last time that a USA TV movie came out on DVD that was actually worth buying, or even watching? That’s right, never. Until now.

Call Me: The Rise and Fall of Heidi Fleiss was so amazing back in 2004 when I watched it on TV that when I heard it was going to be a DVD, I begged to review it, just to get to see it again. Ok, I know, it’s not exactly a classic, critically-renowned film, but it sure is 84 minutes of sex, drugs, and money, all mixed up in Hollywood, and who doesn’t love all that???

Jamie-Lynn DiScala (of The Sopranos fame) stars in the true-story of Heidi Fleiss, a privileged party girl turned high-priced prostitute and powerful madam. Originally, she gets lured into an illicit lifestyle by an older film director, and eventually turns sex into success when she inherits a call girl business from Madame Alex (Brenda Fricker) that caters to Hollywood’s biggest celebrities. When she is eventually betrayed, Heidi’s world of lust and greed comes crashing down around her. Ahh, what a great story.

This DVD also claims to be unrated and uncut, which is always fun, but I can’t really find any differences between this version and the one I saw on TV, except for a few close-up shots of Jamie-Lynn DiScala’s boobs, shots which are so awkwardly edited in that I’m pretty sure they are not in fact her boobs, but stunt boobs. Geez what a gyp. Other than that, this DVD = steamy, sexy fun.
